Eliot Peters is a Managing Director with RA Capital Advisors and brings over 18 years of experience
as an advisor to his clients. Mr. Peters plays a key role in the firm’s strategic direction and execution
of client engagements. Mr. Peters is also one of the architects of RA Capital’s global network. He
leads the firm’s cross-border practice and oversees relationships with corresponding firms in Europe,
Asia, India, Australia and the Americas.
Mr. Peters has considerable expertise in the design and execution of successful processes for sales,
mergers and recapitalizations of founder-led or privately-held businesses. His recent transactions
include the sale of Cryogenic Industries, Inc. for $380 million to Nikkiso Co. Ltd., the sale of The
Steritech Group, Inc. for $425 million to Rentokil Initial plc, the sale of GIGAVAC, LLC for $233 million
to Sensata Technologies, Inc., among others. Mr. Peters is a frequent speaker on various topics
involving unique considerations for privately-held businesses including evaluating all alternatives,
effectively preparing for a transaction, understanding institutional due diligence, valuation
considerations, transaction structuring and taxation, and transaction readiness. In total, Mr. Peters
has completed over $4.5 billion in transactions.
Prior to joining RA Capital Advisors, Mr. Peters was a senior auditor specializing in the media,
technology, and hospitality industries with Ernst & Young LLP and Arthur Andersen LLP in Los
Angeles. During his time with the aforementioned firms, Mr. Peters was in charge of day-to-day
operations of the audits of several medium and large public and private companies.
Mr. Peters graduated with high honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara where he
received a bachelor’s degree in business economics with an emphasis in accounting. Mr. Peters is a
Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the State of California and a FINRA-registered securities
principal.
Mr. Peters is an avid supporter of causes related to education. He currently serves on the Board of
Trustees for the San Diego Center for Children, the Advisory Council of the Barrio Logan College
Institute and is a Member of the San Diego Leadership Committee for UC Santa Barbara.
