Biography
Jeff Dittmer is a Managing Director with RA Capital, bringing deep transactional, analytical, and industry experience to the firm’s sell-side M&A practice. As a senior leader within the organization, he oversees mergers and acquisitions advisory activity across the firm, from deal origination to execution and closing, with a particular focus on founder- and family-owned businesses navigating transformative liquidity events.
In addition to his client advisory responsibilities, Jeff plays a key role in the firm’s business development strategy, advising on origination initiatives and cultivating long-term relationships with entrepreneurs, family shareholders, and industry executives. He is frequently involved in helping clients assess transaction readiness, understand valuation drivers, and frame a transaction strategy aligned with shareholder objectives.
Prior to joining RA Capital, Jeff was a Transaction Services advisor in KPMG’s Financial Due Diligence practice, where he led quality of earnings analyses for private equity sponsors and corporate acquirers. Jeff began his career in KPMG’s San Diego audit practice, serving both public and private companies across a variety of industries.
Jeff holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from the University of Missouri. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the State of California, and a FINRA-registered securities representative.
